BUPA, Axa and Aviva Registered and approved

Hi, my name is Kevin Reynolds and I'm a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP). I have over 20 years experience working with people with a wide range of difficulties.

I am registered and regularly work with BUPA, Axa, Aviva and other health insurance providers.
I am also a fully qualified EMDR therapist, which can also be an integral part of my practice, especially in relation to trauma.

I offer face to face and online sessions, depending on your preference. This applies to CBT and EMDR.

How Can CBT Help?

CBT can help with many aspects of emotional difficulties and in many cases is the therapy of choice according to NHS NICE guidelines. It is a way of helping people develop effective skills to improve the way we think, feel and behave. CBT focuses on thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are uncomfortable or unhelpful, as these often undermine our self-esteem and confidence, and can trigger low mood or anxiety, which can be debilitating and sometimes overwhelming. CBT can provide the skills and insight necessary to break these unhelpful cyles, and achieve balance.

CBT is very effective in the following areas, so if you are looking for a structured, evidence based approach, that will give you the skills and insight to address your difficulties, please get in touch.

Anxiety
Social anxiety
Panic attacks
Work related stress
Depression
PTSD / Trauma
Phobias
Addictions (alcohol, drugs, gambling, internet addictions)
Eating disorders
Eating problems
Body image problems
Obsessive compulsive disorder

EMDR

Along with CBT, I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) to successfully treat Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) along with a wide range of mental health problems. To find out more about EMDR just click the link below.
